A Twist Of Fate all started in 1997 when Jennie Chua, then General Manager of Raffles Hotel, asked Dick Lee to write a musical for the hotel’s 110th anniversary.
Together with Tony Petito, director Steven Dexter, and lyricist Anthony Drewe, a charming murder mystery musical comedy was born, and went on to have a run of sold out seasons.
A Twist Of Fate premiered in September 1997 at the Jubilee Hall in Raffles Hotel. That production was voted 'Best Musical of the Year by the Straits Times.
The show was then revived in September 1998 also at Jubilee Hall. Then again in November 2005 at the Esplande Theatre starring Laura Michelle Kelly (Mary Poppins).
